Folks, we have another alert for you on another structural engineering firm behaving badly.  This firm is RME Structural Engineers of Torrance, CA.  The name is short for Reider Marrs Structural Engineers.  It is founded by CEO and Principal Nick Marrs.  Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs started this firm after working at John Labib & Associates & KPFF.  Many readers of this blog know about the stupidity of KPFF Structural Engineers.  We discussed Blake the Flake Dilsworth a few years ago on this blog.  And so far, KPFF Structural Engineers has refused to contact this candidate as they have promised in the email.

One candidate we know interviewed for the Project Manager position at RME Structural Engineers.  He met Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs personally.  We have posted the ad below:


Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs stated to the candidate he had so much work that he could hardly get any sleep.  Guess what materialized instead, folks?  That full time Structural Project Manager position he advertised on Craigslist by Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs.  Instead, Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs wanted that person to work on a 500 square foot ADU for the cost of $1500!  Nick Marrs is a lying sack of crap.

What people may not even know is that Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs may have violated California’s AB 5 law.  This prohibits businesses from making workers independent contractors when they do the same work as the business itself.  In this person’s case, Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs asked that person to work on an ADU for $1500.

The ADU was a problem in itself because Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs had the structural engineer stop work on it because the architect and client had changed its configuration.  As a result, this candidate was ordered to stop work on it in November 2019.  Yes, folks, Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs wasted that candidate’s time and money on a fake job opportunity.  Repeat this again & again:  fake jobs is fraud!  Can you imagine how Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs designs his buildings if his performance on hiring employees is any indication?  Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs is Ted Ripley based on his actions.  Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs believes it is better to be a fake somebody than a real nobody!

Folks, we know that Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs has been perpetrating this scam because he previously posted the position a few times before.


 




Folks, we have decided to let you know about this employment scam with Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs and his firm RME Structural Engineers so you do not fall for it again.  Reider Marrs Engineers CEO Nick Marrs needs to stop advertising employment scams like this or else he could go out of business pretty quickly.  RME Structural Engineers is structural stupidity you can count on.
